Nottingham based construction time lapse, photography and film production for projects across Nottinghamshire, the East Midlands and the UK.

We’re based right here in the city, working from our studio and workshop at the OldKnows Factory in St Ann’s.
This is where we build and maintain our bespoke time lapse systems, process photography and edit finished films.
Being based in Nottingham means we can provide straightforward local support for construction projects across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands, while continuing to work on major projects throughout the UK.
For long term installations, local access can make a real difference.
Camera maintenance, repositioning, photography and filming can often be combined into the same site visit, reducing unnecessary travel and making each visit more useful.
Our time lapse systems are assembled and maintained in-house rather than simply supplied as off-the-shelf construction cameras.
The Nottingham workshop allows us to configure cameras, housings, lenses, mounting systems, solar power, batteries and connectivity around the requirements of each project.
We also keep spare equipment and components on hand, allowing us to repair, adapt or replace individual parts of a system when required.
Alongside the workshop is our post production setup, with dedicated workstations for high resolution photography and film editing.
This is where long term image sequences are checked, backed up, processed, deflickered and prepared for professional use.
The result is a service that covers the whole process, from building the camera system through to delivering the finished imagery.

The Old Knows Factory is a Grade II listed former lace and textile factory in St Ann’s and has become home to a longstanding community of artists, makers and independent creative businesses.
It is an appropriate base for Boden Ryan: an old Nottingham manufacturing building now used to design and build specialist camera systems and produce contemporary photography and film.
Our workshop, editing facilities and production base are all under one roof, with panoramic views across Nottingham from the upper floors.
It gives us a permanent local base with a strong connection to the city, rather than simply advertising time lapse services in Nottingham from elsewhere in the country.
Clients and production partners can also visit us on site, with parking available at the factory.
We have documented construction, refurbishment and industrial projects throughout Nottingham and the surrounding area.
Recent work includes a long term time lapse project around Glasshouse Street and Nottingham’s Victoria Centre, documenting a highly recognisable part of the city centre.
We have also carried out multiple projects for British Gypsum / Saint-Gobain at East Leake, as well as construction documentation for the Cotgrave regeneration project in Nottinghamshire and local bus company Trent Barton.
Alongside direct commissions, we regularly work with local production companies that require specialist long term time lapse support as part of a wider film or photography project.
These projects combine construction time lapse with professional photography, ground level filming and finished post production, creating a much broader record of the project than a standalone monitoring camera.
Long term construction time lapse needs more than a camera installed at the beginning of a project.
We remotely monitor our systems and typically carry out scheduled maintenance checks during longer installations. Because we are based locally,
Nottingham and Nottinghamshire sites can be attended quickly if a camera needs attention, repositioning or additional photography.
We cover Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, Derby, Leicester and projects throughout the wider East Midlands, with nationwide coverage available for larger infrastructure and construction work.
Whether the requirement is a single construction time lapse camera or a multi-camera project running for several years, the aim remains the same: to provide a reliable visual record of the build and professional imagery that remains useful long after construction has finished.
