Capturing Cotgrave’s £10.5m regeneration from demolition to public space

We were commissioned to record a £10.5 million regeneration project in Cotgrave, centred around the construction of a new multi-service hub for GP services, the police, the library, and a Rushcliffe Borough Council contact point.
As part of the wider redevelopment, the existing police station, library, and health centre were removed and replaced with a landscaped public open space designed to create a more welcoming setting for shoppers and visitors.
The project was captured using a single solar-powered time-lapsed during key periods of activity.
The online viewer also provided the project manager with a value camera, supplemented by on-the-ground video footage capturable tool for monitoring progress throughout the build.
All image data was stored at three different secure locations.
For this project, the whole camera system was powered using solar energy.
During editing, the finished film is pieced together from the raw images. We use specialist software to reduce flicker, remove unwanted images and stabilise footage. Working with so much data is laborious, but the results are worth it.

This is a web based portal that allows you to see images every 15 minutes from site.
Yes
This depends on the project. We typically capture either a ‘burst’ of 25 images at the same time each day or at an interval of every 5-15 minutes. We avoid the interval of every 20-30 mins as this produces poor results.
